Obituary for Zelma Thomas (Tomlinson)

Zelma  Thomas (Tomlinson)
Zelma Lee Thomas, age 94, passed away on January 16, 2017, at Communities of Wildwood in Joplin, Mo., following an illness.
Zelma was born on March 9, 1922 in Grove, Ok., the daughter of the late Walter and Ella Mae (Smith) Tomlinson. She worked in the healthcare profession as an aid. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Joplin.
Zelma married Neol Thomas on November 22, 2002. She is survived by two daughters, Jamie Hiatt of Webb City, Mo., and Debra Levy of the state of Utah; two sons, John Hiatt and his wife Nancy of Brighton, Co., and Kenneth Hiatt and his wife Stephanie of Firestone, Co.; seventeen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jack Hiatt and Neol Thomas; one daughter, Paula Hiatt; two sons, Larry Hiatt and Tom Hiatt; one brother, Roy Gene Tomlinson; and two sisters, Juanita Thomas and Barbara Myers.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Burial will be in Osborne Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time Monday at the Church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
