Charles E. "Chuck"  VanVolkinburg
Charles E. “Chuck” VanVolkinburg, age 56 of Joplin, Mo., passed away early Thursday, March 10, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Chuck was born on March 25, 1959 in Joplin, the son of Lonnie and Dorothy (Luke) VanVolkinburg. He has been a lifetime area resident. Chuck worked at the Joplin Workshop for over 35 years. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Chuck enjoyed traveling to Silver Dollar City and the Senior Adult Conference for the church, but most of all, he loved music and interacting with people.

He is survived by his parents, 3 brothers; Lonnie VanVolkinburg, Jr. and wife Carol Ann of Joplin, William VanVolkinburg and wife Lesley of Tulsa, Ok., Daniel VanVolkinburg and wife Rolanda of Tulsa, 1 sister; Dr. Cheryl VanVolkinburg and partner Alicia Morales of Dallas, Tx. and many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services have been scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the Mason-Woodard Chapel. Burial will follow at Forest Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends during a time of visitation from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday evening.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
