Obituary for Charles Keet Huthsing III

Charles Keet Huthsing, III, age 68, of Joplin, passed away on Tuesday October 21, 2014, at Landmark Hospital following an illness. Keet was born on March 19, 1946 in Culver City, Ca., the son of the late Charles Keet Huthsing, Jr. and Norma E. (Epperson) Huthsing. He married Mary Tomei on August 10, 1965 in Libertyville, Il. Together they raised four children. He has been a resident of Joplin for the past twenty years moving here from Libertyville, Il. He owned and operated his own construction company. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Keet was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Keet is survived by two sons, Richard Huthsing, and Jon Huthsing and wife Liz, all of Joplin; one daughter, Bridget Sparlin and husband Ron, Joplin; his mother Norma E. Huthsing, Carthage, Mo.; one brother, Henry Huthsing, Carthage, Mo.; one sister Karen Watkins and husband Ken, Tyler, Tx.; and eight grandchildren, Tanner, Hannah, Tyler, Colton, Hunter, Kate, Cameron, and Gabe. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Amber Huthsing-Gripp; and a brother, Fritz Huthsing. A private family graveside service will be held. Reverend Justin Monaghan will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
